CONCERT: The Color of the Machine Age
The rapid technological inventions of the world are reflected in music composition experimentation. The expressive boundaries of rhythm, harmony, and instrumental color were exploited by composers such as Stravinsky, Schoenberg, and Cage.
The festival closes with two beloved chamber orchestra works by Wagner and Copland, conducted by the dynamic young maestro Joshua Weilerstein.
