This year CLARIconNEcT is about chamber music.
All clarinetists are welcome to participate in the rehearsals and performances
of all clarinets chamber groups and clarinet choir with DECODA guest artists.

As an artist-led collective, Decoda seeks to create a more compassionate and connected world through music—thoughtfully curating outstanding performances of live chamber music, facilitating creative community projects, and training the next generation of musical artists to rethink and reimagine their role in society. 

Bringing together students and teachers from all backgrounds to perform and attend together.
Performances, masterclasses and clarinet choir for all. 
Spend the day learning about the clarinet by observing and/or performing.
Come play in our clarinet choir and our all-clarinets chamber ensembles, apply to perform and participate in a masterclass with your pre-formed clarinet chamber group by sending us your videos, or simply come observe.


Register by February 1, 11:59pm
: Observe each event, perform in the clarinet choir and all-clarinets chamber ensembles and be eligible to apply as a pre-formed clarinet chamber music group for a concert and/or masterclass.
Register after February 1 and before or on February 18: Observe each event.

8am Dress rehearsal of pre-formed groups
9am All-clarinets chamber groups rehearsal (3 groups total, each of them led by a guest artist)  
9:45am CLARIconNEcT Choir Rehearsal
10:30am
Multiple Masterclasses for preformed groups
11:30am  Lunch (provided)+Vendor time 
12:30pm  Participants concert: chamber groups, preformed groups and clarinet choir
1:30pm  Break/Vendor time
2pm DECODA guest artists recital


SAFETY INFORMATION:
In accordance with current guidance from the University, the Department of Music & Dance will no longer require proof of vaccination for COVID-19 or a recent negative test to attend our events. While masks are no longer required by University policy, all patrons are welcome to wear masks when attending our events. Masks are recommended for patrons who have a weakened immune system or an increased risk for severe illness, or who share a household with such persons. Patrons who are not fully vaccinated and boosted should continue to wear masks indoors. If you are feeling ill, experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, or have been designated as a close contact of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19; please do not attend.

PREFORMED CLARINET CHAMBER GROUPS
Apply to perform as part of the participants’ concert.
Submit your request by uploading your materials to this folder by February 1.
Include a google document or PDF with the following information:

  • your name, email and all the performers’ names

  • the composer, title and length of your piece

  • include a video if possible

MASTERCLASS PARTICIPATION
This year, the masterclass is for chamber groups. Submit a video of your performance of your preformed chamber group, not longer than 8 minutes. Upload your video to this folder by February 1. Make sure to include your name, the composer and title of your piece.
